The AmeriGlide Ultra Heavy Duty Stair Lift is a very powerful stair chair that can support up to 375 pounds of weight. It, like other AmeriGlide Stair Lifts, is designed with safety in mind. This lift has also been thoroughly tested, so it will provide many years of reliable service.
The installation of the Ultra Heavy Duty Stair Lift is also something that most homeowners can do on their own, so you can save money on the installation. The first step is to measure the staircase, which is explained in our “How To Measure” section. Getting an accurate measurement is important, because the track will be cut to fit your staircase, but don’t worry it is easy to do and our stair lift experts can walk you through the process if you need any help.
When the lift arrives, it will include a step-by-step installation manual, which has pictures and diagrams. Many of the components of the lift come pre-assembled, such as the seat and chassis, to further simplify the installation process. This manual is also available for download.
This stair lift is part of AmeriGlide’s Ultra Series, which is compromised of six DC Powered Stair Lifts. A DC Powered Stair Lift, or battery operated lift, plugs into a regular outlet, but the motor is ran off of a rechargeable battery. This allows the lift to be operated even if the power goes out.
The Ultra Heavy Duty Stair Lift comes with a high capacity seat that offers much better support and comfort for larger individuals. It has a contoured back and a wide, folding bench-style seat. The arms are fixed and set further apart, too, making getting in and out of the chair easier.
